About Eric

I am Eric Petersen, a 20-something year old working the magic at Walt Disney World! I am a Professional Intern for the summer of 2011 working as a Global Business Technology Strategy intern; it’s an internship that involves a lot of computer stuff mind you.  I am a previous Walt Disney World College Program participant in the summer of 2010.

When I’m not playing in Florida at Disney World, I am a student at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.

I am a totally awesome and outgoing person. This blog kind of demonstrates that I guess. The purpose of this blog is to 1) help you discover if a professional internship is the right thing for you, 2) to learn how to get such an internship, 3) make the most of that internship, and 4) hear about my experiences just rockin’ it out at Disney World all summer!

CP alumni, represent! I’m also a IS major and I’m gunning for a PI revolving around the IT dept. How did you come across a summer PI? All I seem to find is semester long PI’s in this area of which don’t work for me time wise.

    Hi Eric,
I am a fellow DCP alumni (fall 2010). I had a question regarding the interview process. I am currently still working with the company as a campus representative and had my first screening interview on the phone on saturday. I had some questions for you regarding how you contacted your department early? I have access to the Hub and know there are a few people who are in charge of the department that I am interested in working with, but I wanted to get your input on just calling them up before hand. Would you be able to e-mail me at all? It would be super helpful! Thanks so much!
